Thanks for your comment. First, insurance is not my field, but it seems that the car analogy could be coarsely applied here as well. What happens when you, your child, or a thief harm someone with your car? I’m sure the law could work this out. You note that I spent very few words on the liability aspect of the gun. That’s because I feel that its key value is in restricting the flow of ammunition, and in increasing the cost of high-risk firearms, relative to more traditional hunting weapons.
